Local company completes accessible bathing training
BOISE, ID – Best Bath Systems
announced that GFM Construction of VancouverWashington has successfully completed the two day comprehensive
Dealer Days training regarding all aspects of accessible bathing. This training
features seminars on accessible bathing
options available to assist older Americans to stay in their homes longer, a
concept known as “Aging in Place.” The concept of “Aging in place”is
to encourage and support individuals to alter their homes for growing older
without needing to relocate to a specialized health care environment. Typically
the bathroom and the kitchen are the most important rooms for remodeling.
“With a few modifications, many older
Americans can easily live in the home they love and not have to move,” said
Frank Maestas.This training allowed us
to be an excellent resource to older couples and their families regarding not
only bathing issues, but also “aging in
place” strategies for the entire home.” Additionally participants reviewed
installation procedures, participated in a plant tour and problem solving
exercises. “This was one of the most valuable training experiences I have ever
participated in,” added Maestas.
